spontaneous meditiation

I've tried to establish a regular, disciplined meditation practice. What I'm learning is that meditation cannot be contained any more than art can. I have difficulty meditating when I approach the pillow "formally". However, as I go throughout my day, I'm experiencing more pockets of alertness and awareness of my breath and a Divine thread connecting things and events and people.

That Divine Thread wraps around me gently
Pulling me into a meditation
Right then,
Right there,
Wherever I am,
Whatever I'm doing,
If I will just surrender to the pull
And allow myself
To slide into the peacefulness....
I feel the soft light of 10,000 stars
Pulsing through my veins.
It is from there that my poetry
Arises.
"I love you just the way you are," It says.
"Dare to be more childlike."
